The house was once the oldest inhabited privately owned house in Bavaria dating back to 1438. After a fire in 2015, it was completely rebuilt and exclusively furnished. Parts of the furniture and preserved wooden beams from the old house were restored by the carpenter and stylishly integrated into the new house.
The cosy 94 m² accommodation consists of a living room, a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, 1 bedroom, 1 bedroom with mattresses, a living room with sleeping facilities and 1 bathroom and thus offers space for 8 people.
The equipment also includes WLAN (fibre optic) with a workstation for home office, geothermal heating and a TV. A washing machine and dryer are available to guests in the basement for a small fee.
A baby cot and high chair are also available.
The Rottenbuch Monastery ( 3.9 km), the Welfenmünster in Steingaden (6.6 km) and the Wieskirche World Heritage Site (12.4 km) are not far from the accommodation. Oberammergau, venue of the world-famous Passion Play, can be reached in 20 minutes by car (20 km).
In summer you can refresh yourself in the Illach stream, which borders the property, and in winter you can take the children skiing in Ilgen (2.8 km).
The region is known for countless lakes, cycling and hiking opportunities.
It also offers a very diverse musical and cultural programme.
